Beer advocaten

About us

Beer advocaten believes quality comes through specialisation: We specialise in liability law and are focused on personal injury and other damages (including environmental damages). Because our focus is solely on this area , we can deliver legal assistance of the highest quality. Consulting with colleagues is an integral part of how we work. We set great store by permanent education.

We cannot handle personal injury cases without medical knowledge and expertise. It is extremely important to adequately determine the effects of incidents and examine the consequences, not just in the short term but also in the long term. To provide high-quality services effectively, Beer advocaten has its own team of medical advisors. They are GP’s, insurance physicians, or work at a hospital. We can call on our medical advisors any time, because their offices are fully integrated in ours. Whenever necessary – for instance in case of medical errors – we also call on external experts, of course.

Our network further includes mathematicians, business economists, occupational therapists, labour experts, statisticians and toxicologists, among others.

The lawyers of our firm have worked on proceedings that led to ground-breaking rulings (Taxi bus), proceedings involving major calamities (the shooting in Alphen aan den Rijn, the MH17 crash, the Probo Koala toxic waste dump, the Turkish Airlines crash, the New Year’s Eve fire at a café in Volendam, the Enschede fireworks disaster, the Seattle Ride the Ducks crash, the air crash in the Bijlmermeer, the monster truck incident in Haaksbergen, the legionnaire’s outbreak at the Westfriese Flora flower show), attacks (tram shooting in Utrecht, attack at Amsterdam Central Station), sport-related incidents (involving several professional football players and cyclists) and proceedings involving medical aids and medication (Vioxx, pelvic mesh products, Hyacorp, Pandemrix vaccine, Björk Shiley heart valves).

Our firm is located right in the centre of Amsterdam. But of course we provide assistance to victims and their loved ones from all over the Netherlands. We have an extensive international network, and together with other law firms we frequently represent victims and their loved ones in other countries.
