Today, the Amsterdam District Court's multiple commercial chamber ruled that the proceedings brought by the Victimes des déchets toxiques Côte d'Ivoire Foundation (abbreviated ‘Ivory Coast Poison Disaster Foundation’) brought against Trafigura over the consequences of the dumping of poison by the ship Probo Koala in Ivory Coast in 2006, for procedural reasons, is shipwrecked. Through its chairman, Ben Knüppe, the Foundation expresses its disappointment with this verdict of the court. The Foundation will carefully study the verdict (or have it studied) and consider its next steps.
