Radar: John Beer on air about the (in)safety of medical implants

On November 26, 2018, Radar aired a program about research on the safety of medical implants. Initiated by TV program Radar and daily newspaper Trouw, more than 250 investigative journalists from 36 countries worldwide have investigated medical implants: The Implant Files. The journalists are united in the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). The information gathered by the investigative journalists worldwide is being compiled into a database built by ICIJ. The database is accessible to all as of November 26, 2018: a unique tool for patients, physicians and journalists to find out which incidents, emergencies and adverse events have been reported for which specific implant.

Also John Beer appears at the end of the broadcast. For previous statements by John Beer in Radar, see the link to the September 21, 2015 broadcast on pelvic floor mats (‘mesh’).
